Ok. I saw this post on the RME forum too. I have a UCX.

Now, the delay you're talking about is that momentary (like 1/2 a second) pause before the red light is enabled, right?

So... I guess I don't get the problem. You can quick group your tracks and record enable a set of them with a single 1/2 second latency hit. You can record enable all tracks for the same hit from the Control Bar.

I guess if you have 100 tracks and you click the record enable one track at a time, it would become irritating to say the least, but I'm not put out by this personally.

I'm using Windows 8 and X2. The delay for all tracks currently being enabled is less than a second. I could probably snap a stick on a snare within the time window though, so it is not so short as to not exist.

The RME thread said the problem is with Sonar at this point. I don't know if it is or it isn't. I may try it in another DAW just to see.

I guess it must be really bugging you or your wouldn't be posting. Is there a use case I'm not understanding here?

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.
