And it's the wonderful time of the season when for some reason I have to go under the hood and empty some caches because youtube will only give me blank black screens and won't play videos anymore, neither w/ Safari nor w/ Firefox.

I relentlessly hate Flash, I ferociously hate what YouTube has become and I fervently hate Google. So, whoever is responsible... :P

I dunno what to say, 'cos I think I'm going to be out of step with general consensus on this. I have no interwebby confidence.

Whatever Dave does he always totally turns up for work!

It's cool to think that the drummer of one of the most legendary band of the 90's went on to gain fame and recognition for himself and his bands and become one of the foremost and most respected guys in the business.

I saw him with Them Crooked Vultures a couple of years ago - turning up for work is an understatement. The man played w/ the same passion and energy as a 14 years old at his first gig.

And I remember that first Foo Fighters record - I was a dj back then, and that's one of those few records which you could play almost any song off.

What is that instrument McCartney's playing?

Wow, considering all the drugs, I think Kurt Cobain aged rather well.

It's a custom tenor slide I think...sounded mighty fine to these ol ears...as did Macca's  full throated vocals.  Dave's definitely one of my heroes...even tho I'm old enough to be his dad. Kick ass.

It looked like a 4 string to me.
Kinda like a cigar box/dubro/4 string combo thingy.

I do believe that's the official layman's term for it.

Have to check with Bapu to be sure tho.
    I believe he owns one.

Not yet, but I will one day.

My next purchase (of a stringed instrument variety) is going to be a cello I think. No, not jello... cello.

Video has been removed but I will assume it is the “Nirvana” reunion from 1212121.

Definitely impressed me for what it was and it didn’t seem like they took themselves too seriously.

WRT D.G. … I have always respected him.

What impressed me even more was Novoselic’s pants, the absolute pinnacle of fashion in an emerald green.
