Cant Pan In X1
Hey, So its just like the title says, I cant pan new guitar tracks in a project. I can pan the drums that were recorded last week just fine, its only the new tracks recorded today. I found this thread http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2308871 (And on a side note where is the link button at!!) the guy here is having the exact same issue and i am wondering if he ever fixed it! I will send a bug report once im sure its not just user error. So any ideas?? Thanks,

Are you absolutely sure you haven't recorded one side of a stereo track? I presume you've done the obvious things with track interleave etc?

Yes, I have toggled stereo, And a newer development now the earlier recorded drum tracks no longer pan correctly either, the meters are still showing that they the panning but they are not, where the meters on the newer guitar tracks show that it's not panning..

You may want to patch X1 to the D patch if the version stated in your sig is correct.

Yes, I am already on X1D, I'm just lazy with the signature thing, I have X2 but I don't like to upgrade in the middle of a project, for obvious reason, but I may just install 2 and most likely it will be fixed, but I wanted to bump this one more time!

VigilantSound Yes, I am already on X1D, I'm just lazy with the signature thing, I have X2 but I don't like to upgrade in the middle of a project, for obvious reason, but I may just install 2 and most likely it will be fixed, but I wanted to bump this one more time! Well, installing X2 will not in any way mess up your current X1 installation. I have x32 and x64 versions of 8.5.3, X1d, and X2 all living happily on my computer, and all the program files and such are separate - I just made sure to create separate folders for things like Projects, as that does not get defined in installation as a release-dependent location. So, I have a Cakewalk Projects folder, but I created sub-folders within that for each release of Sonar's projects to reside. That way, I can keep track of which projects open where. And if I want to try out working with a project in X2, where the original was created in 8.5.3 or wherever, I simply copy the project folder in its entirety from its original sub-folder location into the sub-folder for X2 projects. That lets me try out everything without any potential for some X2 problem messing up a project that worked well in 8.5.3 - I hope that makes sense. Then when I am happy that I can work with that copy of the project, I rename the original project to indicate it has been archived, but still keep it so that if ever needed it can be made current again. Anyways, it makes moving forward possible for me in a safe way. And again, the two versions do not interfere with each other, as far as the program files and such. Bob Bone
