No Input Level, but everything else works great

Hi there... I use Sonar Producer 8, and have for years, and all the other versions before that. My main computer crashed and I have now loaded the software onto my laptop, which is capable of dealing with multitrack.. I am running Vista Home on the laptop. I am using an MAudio Fasttrack pro USB, and I have also installed ASIO4all drivers. The software works flawlessly with some big multi track mixes I've pulled up, my Novation MKII controller keyboard works great, all my vst plugins are fine, no choking, but... I have no input levels... I have tried everything ... changed drivers, reinstalled things, rebooted, yes the input is set to the corresponding channel on my Fasttrack. I have the Record enabled, it shows levels coming into my FastTrack and I can hear them, on both channels, all is good, but there is no input volume on the track i'm trying to record on. Have tried different files, different tracks, It records with no errors, just records silence. I have been using this stuff for a long time, and I am out of ideas.... please help.
