Windows 7/8 and X1/X2(ANSWERED)

What, if any are the differences in Home Premium, Pro and Ultimate as far as running Sonar?

I have Home Premium cause thats what came on the system, just wondering if there is a benefit to have a higher grade OS for Sonar.

I seriously doubt that CW would rely on any features not in the basic consumer Windows offering.  In any case, here's a quick comparison of W7 versions:

I certainly don't see anything there that you'd miss when running Sonar of Home Premium.

Win7x64 Home Premium maxes out at 16GB of RAM.
Otherwise, performance is identical with Home Premium vs. Pro

Note that having additional RAM will only benefit the machine if it's needed.
ie: Installing 32GB won't increase performance over 16GB if you're only using 6 to 12GB for projects.

    Thanks dmb and Jim!!!

    That answer my question perfectly.

My board will only do 16 anyway so Im maxed out with this system at this point, atleast until I can make the jump to one of those AWESOME Studio Cats
