Thanks Robby... She produces TV comercials for the Martin Agency, and needed 60 seconds of original music... I was hoping this would be used on a Wal-Mart spot... it didn't make the cut...

nice and peaceful. Don't know the commercial spot but it might be hard to cut in and to. Love the harmonica. Well done, sorry it didn't make the cut . @

Yo man, you cant just tease us like that! I really like this one Frank. Just too smooth and cool. I am afraid I might become the harp monster again, though, and endlessly mention the bass levels... So I will try not to...

Agrees with Shad up there. ^ This was really well done! The only crit is....too short! :) I do hear a little sub low rumble in this...but it's not annoying or messing anything up. A bit more low end than I would allow though...and it's really down low. A high pass via mastering at about 40 Hz to start may be the fix. You may need to go to 45. But like I say, it's not bad or anything...it's just...thick I guess you can say? There are bad sub lows and acceptable ones. That guy last week, StinGa had some really nasty sub lows in his first mix of his tune that he fixed. I don't hear those types of subs in this one...it's just I guess you can say "a little past the border" for my ears. But, it's tuned really well eq wise for being that low. No distortion or artifacts...it's just beefy...but so well done. :) -Danny

Nice....I like the song .... it's short and sweet. I have written a few cues.... one of my holiday cues got sent to a "major east coast" production company..... yeah, never heard back.... the bar is very high and they want the (in their opinion) correct piece of music that fits the product or company exactly to sell a feeling..... you can be really good..... which this is, but not on target and .... well..... you know the drill, ......... don't call us, we'll call you. With a connection like you have.... you should have your own source of leads and inside info and inside track guaranteed to get the tunes on the producers desk.

Nice song, Frank. It may not be suitable for Walmart, but it should work for something. Put it in the vault!

I think Danny's description of the bass is accurate. The lows are beefy... thick. At low to moderate levels, its not a bad thing. But... from an engineering point of view, the mix should be neutral and consistent through all media and playback equipment. It is IMO profoundly important to consider how that bass will translate when played very loud on a large system. This is where things start to go wrong for a lot of our mixes (mine included).

Nice, Frank. Too bad it didn't get used. BTW- Loved your Santa is coming to town arrangement. Back in the day (late 60's) I wrote a number of jingles, some of them with Rupert Holmes, and if you get one go for every 10 submitted you're doing really well.

Nice one Frank (again). I'd like to hear it with way less comping piano. More tinkling maybe. Sort of around the rim but not hitting the water so to speak. Feature the acoustic strum, kik and harp (at least for a spot shot). maybe... idunno.. Nice tune.

That is some of the most expressive harp playing I've ever heard. Bends and articulations are total ear candy here. A wonderful example of one of the finest soloing instruments played masterfully. Loved it!

I hi-passed & bumped up the comping Piano on this last mix, maybe too much bump... Thanks Wookiee Thank you Dodsie... I did the same thing after my daughter's wedding...
