Thanks.  I took a look at this.  It has intentional coloration for that "70's" feel and to quote their site:  "The modulation is dark and noisy, and can produce strange and random sidebands with sustained notes. This is intentional."   

I will be interested in hearing what you reverb connoisseurs think about this entry.  Valhalla makes great and very affordable plugins.  So it should be solid.  Just don't know if I want yet even more coloration in the signal chain given all the other "vintage" plugins like console emulations and vintage channel strips.  Do let us know your thoughts.  

The developer happens to be an expert on vintage hardware reverbs, so I'm guessing he's tried to emulate the crappy processors of yesteryear. Doesn't make me want to rush to grab it, but I'll try the demo anyway.

I love his other plugs so I'm gonna try it fo' sho'.

Been using Vroom for a while now and have always desired something that i couldnt really achieve consistently, a vintage sounding vocal verb. Vroom is a great sounding verb, but a bit too crisp and bright to be my go to. Very hopeful with this one, seems to fit the order exactly.

I love it!!  Its his best one yet, and dare I say, "he actually tested in Renoise!"  On my 2013 list of software to buy.  The darkest, most dirty, and gloomy sounding verb!   Very unique.   Not for everything, but definitely will sound ethereal when mixed properly.

Right so I downloaded and have now tried - I set out with the mind set that it couldn't be that different to the standard Valhalla and I would soon convince myself I didn't need this - I tried numerous settings on the standard to get the same effect as I was getting from Vintage, but no, could not quite nail it - and the worse thing was I REALLY liked the sound of the new Vintage - real depth especially when switching between the different colorations.
SO did I do the opposite to what I set out - I think I did as I have ALMOST convinced myself I need to buy this  - not quite but very nearly!!
Off for some more experimentations, one last chance to convince myself this is not an essential purchase, otherwise no Turkey for Christmas!!!

Had a spare couple of hours this afternoon and have just spent most of it playing with Vintage Verb - I tried just about every comparable test I could on Standard Valhalla and Vintage on a piece of acoustic guitar I recently recorded that sounded just a little bit flat - in my view they do sound different and I could not exactly replicate one with the other.
Now does it sound better - very subjective that. I liked very much Vintage on this acoustic guitar part.

Standard sounds great and has basically become my go to verb - I use this and Aether which I luckily picked up for a sensible price in a group buy some years ago. At one time I only used Aether but Valhalla is so good (and quick and easy) it gets used a lot these days.

I do like the complex nature on the more colored reverbs - sounds, I don't know, denser? 
I can see me using this on some things and Standard on others, so it looks like no Turkey this Christmas, just bread and gruel!!!
Off to spend the Turkey money soon as I post this!

I got it and can definitely say it was worth it. You cannot get the same sounds out of Valhalla Room. I love Sean's stuff and for $50 it was sort of a no brainer. I am very happy with it.

Just downloaded Vintage Reverb! Very very cool! Not really lo-fi at all, just different and flexible. I'll be using this a lot, I think (wasn't using Vallhalla Room that much...)

Haven't demo'ed it just yet because I know what will happen - even if I don't need another reverb. :)
