Roland SPD-S pad?

So, I'm trying to incorporate my Roland SPD-S pad into my set up...  I'm definitely new to sonar and to my prisim orpheus interface AND to midi! I'm all plugged in from my pad to my interface, just can't figure out where to go from there.  Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to trigger sounds on sonar using my Roland SPD-S pad?  Thanks!
