Sad News ...

I just got off the phone with Mom (about 30 mins ago) and she said Grandma isn't going to make it! She's got two types of cancer! :( I'm okay having been through this many times before, but I'm thinking of my Mom, sisters and uncles, too!

    This is certainly not the first time for me either, but yeah, I, too, know the "dropping like flies" feeling. Seems like it's happening (and I mean in general)

    Heh! That would be up to Mom, because we haven't been in contact (her Mom & I) in years. In fact, I talk to Mom every now and then. (we don't live together). Though I do have some childhood memories. Like, she (Jeannie, is her name), could stand being called "Grandma!" LOL Not to mention being a soap opera fan. AMMOF, Mom before she became busy used to the same soap which that's how I got exposed ito it (though a freind of mine is what I got me watching and have been for 15 years now) and I take it loved sports. Oddly, the Boys/Skins Thanksgiving game this year is when all of this started. Weird, how both Grandmothers were on opposite sides of the biggest NFL rivalry as at least about half my family are Cowboy fans. I'd imagine them smack-talking up there.


    But yeah, I do appeciate the suggestion and thoughts! Thanks!

    Sorry to hear this news Rus - I can fully relate to it as I lost my mother on Christmas Eve 2001.

    Christmases have never been the same since.
