Dimension Pro Holiday Pack install issue

When I try to run the cakewalk dimension pro holiday pack.exe I get an error that says: "Error: Could not locate Dimension Pro installation please update to Dimension Pro 1.5 and run this installer again."
I'm using X2 Producer, and have tried
 1. uninstalling dimpro, reinstalling.
2. Running X2 as admin inserting an instance of Dpro
3. Running X2 as a user inserting an instance of Dpro
 4. Running it in standalone mode both as admin and normal user. Error still occurs. (Installed version is 1.5, verified via clicking on the name that pops up the version info)

Googling led to an earlier post about having an old serial number in the registry and replacing all instances with the new one from X2, did that, still same error. Dimpro itself works perfectly fine, and in fact the HD strings expansion pack installed fine as well without any errors. I'm really confused and am hoping maybe one of you guys can think of something that could help?
Thanks for your time,
Mark

Mark, have you tried following Cake's specific instructions for removing earlier instances of Dim Pro, found here?

Thank you for replying man, I have to go to work right now, I'll check that out when I get home, and let you know. Thanks again, that looks promising.

Unfortunately that didn't work, I'm still getting the same error message. Thanks again for trying though. Look's like I may have to do without the free holiday pack!

Honestly it's not that big of a deal I seldomly use DPro anyway. I plan on getting a new computer sometime soonish, so maybe when I do a clean install of everything the issue will resolve itself. Thanks again man.

Fresh install of everything here. Same problem for me. I guess I'll do without as well.

    Hey guys,
If you write in to Technical Support under "Dimension Pro" we have developed a work-around for this particular issue. I can walk you through manually installing the expansion pack.
