Temper and X2A

I have used Temper on Live 32, Live 64, Sonar X1 Producer and Sonar X2 Producer.

But now, Sonar Producer X2a will freeze on the VST scan of Temper (32-bit) plugin.

Can you try performing a Reset and Re-scan as instructed in X2a installation instructions? I'm curious to find out if it still crashes when resetting first.

Yes I did that first thing.

Several restarts, several rescans, I have to delete the Temper folder to allow the scan to complete.

I have had no problems with Live 32-bit, Live 64-bit, Sonar X1 Producer Expanded 94-bit, or Sonar X2 Producer until now with Temper.

I don't see where you "reset" VSTs. Or did you fail to mention it?

This can be done by launching SONAR and doing the following:

Go to Edit > Preferences > File - VST Settings

Click the [Reset All VST Plug-ins] button

When prompted with the message "This will reset configuration settings for all your VST Plug-ins to defaults... Are you sure you want to do this" click [Yes]

Click the [Scan VST Folders] button and wait for the scan to complete

Yes, I Reset All Plug-ins in preferences.

When I restart Sonar X2a it will scan everything but Bitbridge stalls on the Temper .dll.

I have to restart and delete Temper.dll to continue.

This is something new to X2a.

Temper works fine in all my other applications and standalone.

I just tried Temper in X64 Win7 and it scanned just fine and also loads under bitbridge.
Have you rebooted your system? It could be some incompatibility in Temper itself.

Yes, but now after messing about I am having problems getting Temper to run at all, even standalone.

I'll try some more stuff. Something weird is going on...

OK, I found out the problem.
Temper is using a non-standard Documents folder (hard-coded).

I deleted the folder 'Angry Red Planet' and restarted and re-licensed it and now it works OK.

I sent a message to the problem report about it being fixed.
