Razzmatazz - one of my first music videos recently updated

Hello, all you cat lovers out there.  This is the story of my cat Razzmatazz, whom I rescued from a cat shelter a few years ago.  I made a video of this song a few years ago, but I just remixed the song in X2a and reposted the video with new scenes involving our rescued kitten, Katniss.  The song is still open as far as the mix goes, so all comments welcome.  I thank you in advance for your contributions, and merry Christmas to all.

The video can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/wa...kxoW1xiTaw&index=1

All the best,
Lynn

    That is a feisty puss!

It's funny because w/o the video, I wouldn't have thought the song was about Raz.

This is a riot, I loved the musical change at 1:14 as the cat goes slo-mo.

The things cats do!!, Hey Lynn liked that.  It's a really cool tune, with that great Crimson vibe.

Very cool tune. No mix crits. Everything is balanced. Outstanding work Lynn.

    Hi Lynn,

I enjoyed the track and I could relate to the cats in the clip. There are two that run the house I live in. You have put some interesting sounds in there.

    Thanks for the post.

Hey Lynn...when I first saw your post I thought 'oh hell, some sugary sweet kittie cat song, blah"  Well, imagine my surprise and delight as a life-long cat lover that your song was slightly menacing, slightly sociopathic and full of energy --- just like a CAT.  I enjoyed this, Lynn...very well played and sung...I liked the guitar licks at the end and of course, I enjoyed seeing Razz and his brother.  (My wife and I have two cats and two dogs.)

btw, I don't know if I've ever sent you any info about my animal protection organization...the website is www.truenaturenetwork.org
There's a link on the site to our youtube channel...one of the videos on the channel is Born To Be Betrayed which is a comprehensive look at dog and cat overpopulation issues.

Anyway, back to the song...I enjoyed it a lot and I'm looking forward to hearing more from you in 2013 :)

Allan, actually your description of my song probably applies as much to me as my cats. LOL Thank you for taking the time to listen, and I'll check out your website.  BTW, I love dogs as much as cats, and I'll post a video about an old, black dog very soon.  I love working with animals, as they're quite the challenge.

This is good stuff Lynn, you always surprise me (in a good way), there's not a hint of cliche' in your music.

    That's a very contented cat!

Well this song took me by surprise as it morphed from a middle eastern style to a rockier sound, but the transition was seamless and worked very well.

I liked the originality of this track and your lovely guitar playing.

    Nice work Lynn.

You seriously have way too much time on your hands.   Interesting song.

I listened to New Snow as well, good tune.  I lived in the nothwoods all my life, I've only been ispired to write songs about leaving the snow behind.  Coo tune.

John, thank you for your kind words and time.

Daryl, retirement has a way of filling one's days.  Thank you for your time and response, and also for your comment on "New Snow".  I've never been totally happy with that track, and I may rerecord some of the part in the future.  I guess living in Michigan could turn one off to snow.

Hey Lynn, really cool track. As another poster commented, I really liked the changed from the sort of eastern feel into the rockier side, caught me off guard.
We have a houseful of rescues so I really enjoyed the vid, Razz and friends are a fine looking bunch. Cool idea to write a song and make a vid of them.
Watched the "New Snow" vid too, pretty cool. That's a nice looking Strat you got, and you play it well. As I write this we have about 6 inches on the ground, it's nice when you got nowhere to go...

Ha ! Not at all what I expected. You could have put that same track on a video showing the main drag in Las Vegas at 3:00 am and it would fit in just fine. Works with the felines as well. Good stuff - well performed and recorded.

Hi Lynn what a cool video ! I have five cats myself , funny thing is after seeing your cat in that black garbage bag my favorite cat Higgins he got stuck in this black garbage bag in my room one day .
I was standing in our apartment kitchen and suddenly heres Higgins stuck in this black bag , he took off running like a bat out of hell and didn't know where he would end up but man did he shoot across the room like a rocket on four legs !
It was so dang funny I almost fell over laughing , I wish I had that on video .
He didn't think it was funny but lucky for him he didn't run into anything , I think during that moment he was in total shock ! LOL

Nice video Lynn and enjoyed the music too , worked very well with your cat video .

Happy New Year Buddy ! James

Elix, thanks for taking the time to watch the video and respond.

James, cat's do the darndest things.  I left out many clips, especially the ones where Razz's girl, Katniss, went into heat.  What a hoot!  We got her spayed right away, but it made Razz fall in love with her.  Thanks for your time and response.  And all the best to you this year!!
