Having latency problem

Hey everyone

How do I correct a latency issues on a project that I am currently working on. All of my older projects and new projects do not have this problem. The current project was recording prefect..Then  Sonar notified me  stating that the transients are busy and will be rectify when the process is complete.. what does this mean..My problem is during recording and not with playing back. I forward to any suggestions

Season greetings

I will do some reading up to fix my problem...really do not want to have to do over or loose this song.

    Best regards

This is my very first "noob" post on the forum.  I am glad to say that I read your entire report.  Absolutely excellent info and I will refer to it frequently, I'm sure.  Thanks for taking the time to develop quicklooks for amateurs like me.  I appreciate it.

    Hey CJays and Bob,

You guys have made me feel very welcome and my anxiety level is definitely lower.

I hope to eventually be able to contribute something of value, in the meantime, I'll mostly shut up and read.

C Jay - just wanted to say thanks for writing and sharing your doc - I took a quick read through it and it's a fantastic overview for all kinds of subjects.  Great stuff.  Thanks again,

RT1 - you have already taken the most important step - you have engaged with the forum.  There is a wealth of information to be learned just from following some of the threads going back and forth here, and lots of folks helping each other get through the nightmares.

One thing that would help us to help you is to have you add your system specs to your profile's signature.

If you look at the bottom of my post, and lots of other folks's posts, you will see our specs in the signature.

To do this, look up near the top of the forum page, and hover your mouse over the button that says User Control Panel, then click on Edit Profile.  Once there, click on the Signature tab, and enter your specs like you see mine - except you can skip the part about my cat and my pain pills if they do not apply to your system.

Anyways, after you enter your system specs in the signature, look near the bottom left for a check box about attaching your signature to your posts.  Make sure that box is checked, or the forum will not attach them, even though you typed them in.

When you post questions or problems, our being able to see those specs will help us to help you, by our having a clue as to what you are running it will help us figure out how to best help you (sometimes).
