previous question kit making

Hi,
i have about 23gb of wav files that are all labelled up individually in notes, i want to be able to put them in groups together i have had this answered before but not in any way that could help me people say you can use dropzone to do this but i am struggling.
So if i want to get my piano notes and group them together to be able to make them into a kit so i can select it and use on the piano roll view and play with my midi keyboard.
also i want to be able to do this with many groups of instruments as i have 23gb so there is a lot of instruments which need grouping into kits so i can easily access them to make a track.
Should i be using dropzone for this if so how do i do this? if not what do i need to do? could someone please advise on how to do so and also Is there any expansion packs that are designed just for this i can do it so easily in other softwares just not in sonar which is a real pain in the ass.
if there is any expansions or 3rd party products that could provide the same results ie. so i can place my own instrument kits into sonar for use.
regards generate_r

sorry about another post on this but nobody seems be able to advise me on how to do this

Here is the original thread for the benifit of those who did not see it.

If I do this I use Independence or Kontakt, Dropzone seems pretty limited. I don't have it installed.

To elaborate my previous replies the free version of Independence will let you make instruments with a maximum of 23 samples per instrument. There is no limit to the number of instruments you can make. I am not at my DAW now but I think you can have 16 instruments in one instance of Independence, each with its own midi channel and audio out if required.

glyn cheers for the reply that is kinda what i mean but i do not need to make instruments as instruments are already there they are just labelled up in notes but not together into a kit i can select and it will appear along the piano roll.
but as it stands they are all singular and i can't access them unless they are put into a kit which is my main objective

I just did a search on Google for Cakewalk DropZone.

Here is a demo of dropzone being used http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7kmXnwKoGU This seems to confirm my memory that only two sample per instance can be used.

Here are a couple more hits that may be useful

There are a lot more but after looking at these I am sure the Independence Free would serve you much better.

I am not sure I understand you correctly. Do you have wave files that are named some thing like Bass C1, Bass C#1, Bass D1 etc? That was my assumption.

In Independence you would map each of these to the appropriate note and save it as a instrument (what I think is what you are calling an instrument kit).

If for example you have do not have every note its easy to drag the sample to cover several notes and it will be repitched as required.

You can also load several samples on one note and make them sound with different velocity levels. Of course with the 23 sample limit in the free version that would be a bit limited.

Edit - also your samples do not have to follow pitch, so you could for example map 23 drum loops to different keys and trigger them from your midi track.

One last thought. If I am misunderstanding what you are trying to do triggering your samples in the Matrix view may help.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FfMrzXRVPU
