Notes Playback BEFORE the Measure in X2

I've just installed X2 Producer.

I'm running:
Windows 7 64bit at 8 gig ram
M-audio firewire 410
M-audio axiom 49

My Problem is that during playback, my notes play BEFORE the beat (measure) - while recording, everything feels on - I've slowed down tempo - adjusted latency, etc - and still the notes are about 3 ticks before the beat - nudging and quantize Does Correct - but Everything does not need to be quantized

Furthermore, I went side by side in Reason 6.5 on the same system and it's always spot on, even when I readjusted the latency configuration to try and correct X2.

My anti-virus is Off and my computer is never online while I'm recording

Please advise

Merry Christmas

Peace & Blessings!

Do you have any kind of latency compensation enabled . What's your sound card driver modes. This issue has to do with a setting.

Thanks So Much for your response. I downloaded the latest version from m-audio, I moved the buffer sizes, bit depths and compensation settings all up and down the dials. I even switched my sound card from ASIO to WDM and no change - here's what's most frustrating - when I made each of these changes, I tried each setting in Reason and it never budged - Spot On during recording and playback. It's almost unfair.

Any other assistance you can provide will be most appreciated.

    Peace & Blessings!

    You're recording a live performance, and you can hear/see a consistent 3-tick (1.5ms @ 125BPM) timing offset on playback? I don't think so.

    Jere,
Have a look at the link above in the post by scook.  (There apparently is a setting that helps timing on some systems - it's mentioned in the last post).

    Good luck!

Thanks for the responses - will check out link - I think I was misquoted by Brundlefly. I could not tell that their were any misalignments at all as I was recording. In fact everything "felt" right as I was recording to the metronome, but once i listened ro take, it was all off. I appreciate all of your responses evryone - will let you know what worked.

    Merry Christmas!

Hey, Jere; I just quoted what was there. Not sure where you got the value of 3 ticks. If you can hear a problem, it's almost certainly a lot more than three ticks. That's all I'm saying.

    Merry Christmas to you, too.!

Jere, did you submit a trouble ticket? I would but I'm running Vista which is not supported. All suggestions aside I don't think this should be happening. I believe it to be a bug.

Understood. My estimation was thee ticks based upon the fact that when I nudged right (toward measure) - it was three values
