VST Management

Like many home recorders, I have a few DAWs and recording programs of all kinds.  As such, I have many VST/VSTi's.  I set up Guitar Tracks that came with the V-Studio, I set a path to all my VST folders - 4 of them.  Well, I don't need all those VST/VSTi for Guitar Track.  I want to create a small VST folder for just GT.  Now, I have some VST I want to use beyond the ones that came with GT.  Do I need to copy the dll file and duplicate them in my Cakewalk VST folder?  Starting to feel I have VST/VSTi everywhere.

    hi fezzler,

    no you dont.
you only need to make certain that guitar tracks plug in manager is scanning the path of your vst folder.
no need to make new folders.
under plug in manager, you should see the default path like:Cakewalk/guitartracks/vstplugins.
simply add the new folder path to the PI manager and click okay/rescan.
theoreticaly it should show your plugins right away but you may fare better by restarting guitar tracks.
apon restart you will see guitar tracks now scanning the new plug ins you have set the path for.

I hope you have found this somewhat helpful.
