Overheard a mother say to her daughter....
So I'm in a deli today and there's a woman with some kids with her in line ahead of me. They're talking about New Year's resolutions, and the little girl says "My New Year's resolution is to keep my room tidy and do my homework every night," to which the woman says "Shh, you're not supposed to tell anyone what they are honey, otherwise they won't come true."
Resolutions mixed up with wishes...I can't help thinking that there is something philosophically wrong with the way she is teaching those kids.

My resolutions are stacking up like those pancakes I'm swearing off of. I wish I didn't have to, but wishing hasn't worked well so far.
