sonar X2 64bit windows transport controls with MPK61 issues

I have Sonar X2 Producer and AKAI MPK61 controller/Keyboard . I am unable too get the transport controls (Play, Record etc.) to work any suggestions or info on this. My system is 64 bit windows 7
