I got the mp3 encoder when I bought my version of pro audio many years ago and I can still use it today. The only problem I have is the encoder does not work in 64 bit. I don't know if there is an updated new encoder that works in 64 bit.
I would hate to spend the money to update the encoder only to find out I got the same one. It may be a good thing just to get the latest version of Pyro pro audio. I remember all the problems I had with Pyro 2004 and makes me hesitant. This is one of the many reasons I don't use 64 bit.
I use mp3 encoding as much as I use wave formats. It would be great to hear about any problems people are having with Pyro Pro Audio. Maybe I will go down into the Pyro forum and hang out a while.
I emailed Cake a few years ago under the same circumstances and they emailed me a new authorizer for 64 bit.
