Adding effects on master bus

The question's in the title guys. How do you do it? When I view a song in console view I can see the Master channel on the far right. But unlike the track channels there's no facility for adding effects.

So how do you do it?

Also in track view, is there any way of seeing the Master channel there?

Thanks

I guess you are referring to the console strip associated with your audio interface. What most do is add a bus that points to the audio interface and designate that as the default bus. That bus then acts like the master bus in SONAR and you can add effects to it.

Thanks. I can see that's what I need to do ... I just don't know how to do it!

I've created a new buss called 'MASTER BUSS'. Now what? There's very little you can do with the Master Channel in terms of routing.

    Thanks

A master bus is a bus that all tracks are routed to and all buses are routed to. There is a box that is near the top. This is where you add effects. Its just like any other track or bus. There is also like an arrow or a plus sign that will give you the pro channel effects. I suggest you go throug the tutorials to get familiar with it. Its just like a hardware mixer, if that helps

Just Right click in the FX bin on the Master Bus and select the Effect you want to add

After you create your Master Bus set it's output to your interface output, right-click on the Master Bus and check "Set as Default Bus." All the tracks you create in the project after that will automatically point to you Master bus. BTW, if you create your projects with the normal template, this is already setup for you.
