Yeah...

I tried Ctl-click, but only the single Lane gets toggled. I used the top-left-corner select of each lane...

group select the tracks and then control click. This works for me. I just select and drag across the tracks or control click the tracks to multi select and then control click the mute button. You certainly know this. Not sure why it isn't working for you.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Don't know if this is will help or not?

CTRL + Left Click on the clips you want muted then press 'K'.
    This mutes the selected clips.

There is no way to group lanes for solo and mute via the buttons.

There is also the option of using the Mute Tool which has the ability to mute a whole clip with a single click.

oops you said lanes not tracks. Sorry for my useless post. I use f10 to get the mute tool then click the lanes to mute in the top half of the wave form image. This mutes the clips. Probably not the best way...

    Thanks Guyz...

I had a feeling this is the situation.... I usually mute the clips individually so I don't know if this has been an issue all along or only now... I finally came into a situation where Lane Mute would have been convenient.... but only if I could group-select the Lanes and ctl-click or equivalent...

So I went back to using clip mute... One more way Lanes give me no help...
