assigning inputs from rewire (reason)

I have my Bass coming in from Reason and it's on Reason's Output #5. In Sonar it gives me three options for inputs on #5: Left (mono), Right (mono), and Stereo.

choosing either Left or Right gives quite a bit more juice on the signal, but they don't pan any differently than the Stereo setting. the stereo is interleaved but it's only getting a single input anyway. if I use the Stereo setting, will I have to use a Trim plugin to bring it back to center?

(disclaimer: im still on the demo for x2 so no bundled plugs. I bought X1 from Best Buy to squeeze in for the free upgrade, but I don't want to install it on the workstation...just waiting for the registration to appear on the store site so I can get the full X2 download.)

What Reason module is your bass coming from? If its Malstrom, Thor, or a rack extension stereo is probably the best choice. If its the subtractor keep it mono. Good luck with rewiring Reason into Sonar. Rewire is broken in X1 and is a large reason why I do not use Sonar anymore often. I wish they would fix that feature.

it's a combinator (reason bass). I have the stereo outs of the combi running to an Audio Merger and then out Output #5

I can see some huge differences the more I get into Sonar....in DP, you can manage your rewire I/O and your physical I/O and midi I/O using the Bundles and then your Reason Template and your DP template always just work. I have to work on Sonar templates, but right now I don't see how to manage your I/O from 10,000 feet in Sonar; it's all case-by-case and very tedious.......BUT i'm willing to make it work.

Its really simple actually if I can get X1 to work on Windows 8 I will do a video showing you how to route the i/o for rewire. I am a former Sonar user but I still own the license.
