Snap to Grid lock...?

Is there any way to "lock" the Snap to Grid value so that when you zoom in or out on the PRV it doesn't change?

For instance...if I'm working on a midi track and need to snap to triplets...I set the "snap to" value.  But soon as I zoom in or out it defaults back to what ever value it "thinks" is OK for the zoom level I'm at...and it's ALWAYS without the triplet set.

I've looked in both X1 and X2 manuals and don't see anything in reference to what I'm talking about.

Yes, this is a new feature called Smart Grid. You can toggle it on/off in the Snap module of the Control Bar. Right-click the snap value and choose Smart Grid from the menu.

I have been messing bout today with similar issues.  think i may have a solution...

open up a clip in PRV. right hand corner where snap blue button is, click the little arrow pointing left. Choose your required snap setting (1/16 etc). Then left click the 1/16 value so that it is not blue. Unblue the midi and other symbol as well.
Basically set the snap setting and ensure the snap button in prv view is not blue asnd you should be ok.

See the "Smart grid" video on Cake TV for an overview of how the new feature works.
