SSD for your main system disk - just about the biggest jump invperformance you can give a PC :)

Samsung 830 or 840 series give great performance at a sensible price

I think the Intel 520 240 GB SSD is rated well for its ruggedness.

I have had 2 different SSD devices, and both failed, one after 1 year and the other after 6 months.  I switched back to regular SATA 3 3.5" drives and took the extra cash from returning the defective drive and bought a 46" HDTV, which is now my main computer display.

Those specs look plenty fast and mighty for a DAW.

I'm going to upgrade to 6 GB/s SDD's down the line, when price/GB drops a bit more, and when they become more (for want of a better word)"solid" reliability wise. Anyone see any compatibility issues?
