Pro channel (plugin chain), multidock bug?

If I try to put a plugin into the multidock that is from a prochannel/plugin chain (any vst that is not a pro channel vst) it will not save in the multidock. Try putting it in then see if you can close the project and reopen it and see if it is in the multidock. If I put that same vst into an fx bin then I can save it in the multidock.

That appears to be the case, they won't even stay in the dock if you toggle screensets. It is not the prochannel that is the issue, it is the fx chain. I believe you will see the same behavior trying to dock an fx from inside an fx chain in the fx bin.

Maybe it is a bug, maybe it needs a feature request. I guess it is up to you to decide how you wish to log it, if you choose to log it. There is always X-ray (unless it is waves plugin).

I can't get support, I'm still on Vista.

You could still log the issue as you know that it also happens in Win7 64bit (the OS I am on). I would never have known about it because I don't dock effects.

The reports asks what your operating system is, they will attribute this problem to my OS which is not supported. If you've confirmed that this happens and your operating system is Windows 7 it would probably not get ignored if you or someone that has windows 7 logs this problem/bug.
