The Old Western Wagon Cart

Happy New Year to all, let's hope 2013 kicks some serious patoooootieeee!

Now that I've dispensed with the pleasantries I'll get straight to the wagon;

Last year on Wednesday, 26, 2012 I placed an order and 2 Day Air delivery. No choice in who it be; unfortunately it was UP.S.

Guess what?.... the parcel has not been delivered and is still in transit. Hmmmm

I guess UP.S must have hired a bunch of drunken louts driving and old beat-up western wagon up and down and around the mountains; 6 days later they reach an old dusty little town and they say what?... WHAT??? this parcel is suppose to be shipped by 2 Day Air {Doh}!!

Anyway, the parcel will finally arrive tomorrow and of course my request for a refund on that 2 Day Air was granted!

Parcel Tracking Information;
. Wheels fall off the old cart -- Thursday -- 10:05 AM
. Driver gets DUI; replaced driver -- Wednesday -- 2:00 AM
. Heading North up, down and around the mountains -- Monday -- 7:12 AM
. Jackass attached to cart, parcels fully loaded. --- Friday --- 11:44 AM

.

Edit Post: to remove Kentucky.

    I think end user experience varies region by region.

    Randy is my UPS driver. He's 5 star excellent. UPS is my favorite. Go Go likes Randy too.

    Anyways, FWIW the snow in the mid west shut down aspects of both FedEX and UPS and stuff I've been expecting has got delayed as well.

    I hope you get and enjoy your new stuff!

    best regards,
    mike

    Sorry Mike, I tossed Kentucky in that post as a mock-up of the scenario and as a cover-up for my private location.

    I've been tracking the weather reports; it's been clear and sunny days where I am and where the parcel was being sent from.

    At least the parcel was fulfilled - sent out quickly for shipment; 12.AM Thursday morning of last week.  With standard shipping it should have arrived no later than today (Thursday), but according to the company with 2 Day Air (which I paid for) that parcel would've arrived Saturday or Monday at the latest. That's why they apologized and did not hesitate to refund me on shipping cost for the 2 Day Air.

    It's not the first time I've had problems with supply and delivery of medication.  Usually if the product isn't that important then I go with a much cheaper option; standard or free shipping.

    Glad you got your stuff.

    FedEx uses Memphis and UPS uses Chicago as hubs. When I have stuff coming from the west coast I usually keep track of the weather in the midwest as every now and then it impacts the schedule. :-)

    This time I have a mic that was built in Kansas... shipping to an Austin Texas vendor... and then shipping to me. It started the day after Christmas. :-)

    Good times.

    best regards,
    mike
