X2 Install Issue

I've just done a format and now using Win 8 on the studio. Upon installation, I am getting the following error:

Unable to register DLL/OCX Reg Srv32 failed with exit code 0x3

on many of the dll files.

I've tried running the installer as Admin but it's come out the same way. I believe it's because I was relocating some items off the main hard drive during install and on to a different drive to optimize performance. However, when I go to uninstall/reinstall X2, it says that my plugins are already associated with a specific area and I can't change it. Any ideas how to fix this problem?

Me personally...reinstall Windows and try again...this is me, though...I like things to install cleanly...I'm also not to up to date on Windows 8 Someone here should have some idea as there are a LOT of Windows 8 users...hope you find a solution!

I actually tried that. Same result. It installed fine on this computer which is why I'm led to believe it has something to do with the location of where I put my VSTs.

Did you install Sonar in the default folder on the c: drive?

What version of Windows 8 and Sonar did you install? 32-bit or 64-bit?

Make sure when you install Sonar that you are logged on as administrator and right click the installation program and select Run As Administrator.

Indeed. The actual program was installed to C. I was originally attempting to install the VSTs to a different drive when I had the issue. This morning, I reinstalled Windows to reset the locations and tried installing everything to their default locations on C: but had the same issue.

I'm always logged in as Admin and also attempted to run as administrator. No luck there either. :(
