Couple Of Questions.
Question number one: Why, what's the purpose? Besides a YouTube video when would you need to be able to do this? Question number two: I've always wondered which one, Strammy, Bouy or The Bapu run the CHB with an iron fist like THIS BAND. For the record, there is not one member of that band who should be casting stones. They all could benefit from a good biotch-slapping. Mike

Hi, This is the part that is wrong for us ... Trashing the kid, instead of helping him get better. Good thing that is not your son, so YOU get embarassed ... instead of him, and he might have done it just to show you up! The "wrong"r" thing for us would be not to help the child/youngster get better ... instead of helping him get rid of the guitar! It is in "raw" that you end up finding gems ...
As a wise Guy once stated from his holy chapala ... none of the hits, none of the time ... prevents you from becoming just another turkey in the middle of all the other turkeys!

Myolpal. Think I could git that fruit cup? Mosh, I agree. First off, the band hired the guy so they knew what they were getting. Child or not, he's a member of your band so either work with him or get rid of him. In all the bands I've played with, the idea was to sound good. If there's a weak link you help that person get over that hump. If one member sounds bad it makes the whole unit sound 'not at the top of their game-ish'. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the guy is a decent player but has a drug/alcohol problem and they finally had enough of him showing up not in the proper frame of mind so to speak. On a side note. We always enjoyed slapping our guitar player around but there is a time and place for everything. For us it was Tuesday night practice. Never under any circumstances did we ever do it during a show. Save it for Tue. night. Mike

chefmike8888 Question number two: I've always wondered which one, Strammy, Bouy or The Bapu run the CHB with an iron fist like THIS BAND. The CHB is such a finly oiled machine that it slips thru all our fingers of control. And we get a oily hand when we biotch slap it like that.

So do the judges have to go back over each take at a much slower speed to see if he's really hitting each note on beat? I only feel it appropriate to mention that I can play John Cage's classical piece 4'33" at well over 1,200 bpm on guitar (or, even, with spoons). Too bad that Guiness requires you to play Flight of the Bumblebee, eh?

I thought it sounded horrible at the slowest tempo. Not that I'm not into fast guitar. It impresses me, just not playing Flight Of The Bumblebee badly with a horrible tone. The speed freaks make me laugh though. I'll never forget a letter written to a guitar mag I used to read in the late 80's, which went something along the lines of "What's the big deal about Jimmy Page? His playing sounds like crap. He couldn't play fast to save his life. Robert Plant is such an awesome singer and he's wasted on Page, he should be playing with someone like Yngwie Malmsteen." The next issue featured the "replies" to this letter. Oh boy....
