X1 ProChannel Expansion Module

Ok, so I purchased Sonar X1 back in May 2011, and never upgraded to the ProChannel Expansion Module.  I have never had a problem with sonar, and I record all of the time.  I'm really not ready to move to X2, because I'm still getting pretty good use of X1.  I guess you never know what you are missing till you see it, but I recently purchased the groove3 "Mixing in Sonar X1" and have seen the light.  There are a lot of cool tools in the expansion.  I have been on the website all afternoon trying to find where to get the pack.  Is it not available anymore, unless I'm missing something?

I couldn't see the expanded base thing you need to buy to make x1 run the pro channel things.. and they may say they don't sell it and want you to upgrade to x2 instead (dunno , I don't work for them)

the modules themselves are under "sonar x2 extra's" in the menu though, if you do view all at the end of the page. either as a bundle or separate things, but it does need to be run on expanded on x1.

contact them on the phone if your  in the states.. or email em.

X2 is similar to X1, but more polished.

Don't know about X1 expanded- I think that was a way for cakewalk to make money because they extended the release cycle by a year to work the kinks out of x1. May not be for sale any longer.

X2 kicks ass by the way

Cakewalk no longer sells the X1 Expanded option for X1 Producer. You might find it at a music retailer but you may find it more cost effective to buy the X2 Producer upgrade.

That would be like me trying to upgrade Sonar 8.3 to 8.5. To my knowledge that's no longer possible.

Sdiggs sorry you are most likely out of luck in upgrading X1 to X1 Expanded. However X2 has all the bells and whistles from X1 Ex except you may not get the Softtube saturation Big Knob. Outside of that X2 Producer will serve you well and you can add the add on PC modules.

Is the saturation knob not included in X2?

I'm not sure. I think I had to install it from X1 E. But it may have been there and I may have not noticed.
