White Grid lines? Yes. solved

When a clip is selected it goes black with light gray wave forms.

The black time grid lines do not show up then of course .
Is there a way to display white grid lines, which would be fine on almost all the other track colors?

I don't think you can change the grid color but you might be able to contrast them by changing other colors.

Edit > Preferences > Customization - Colors... then start messing around with elements. I've never looked at it though (I like how X2 looks) so I'm not sure. Worth a shot though.

    Cheers.

I see. This may be one of those things CW needs to rethink.

Under Preferences - Customize - Colors, go to the following:

Vertical Measure Lines = 1st line of a measure in Track View

Vertical Beat Lines = 2nd, 3rd, etc. lines in Track View

Grid Rules = minor horizontal & vertical* lines in PRV

*To show vertical lines in PRV, go to View menu and select Show Vertical Gridlines

Ooopsy! My post was for X2a, not X1d. They're different, I see.

Rules In The Track View is for X1d Track View but not X2a.

X1d does not include Beat Lines as far as I can tell.

Vertical Measure Lines & Vertical Beat Lines are for X2a Track View.

Rules In The Tempo View is for X2a but not X1d.

Grid Rules is for X2a PRV but not X1d.

    Confusing?

It really helps when you have to select and move a clip a bit, tho when zoomed out it looks a bit busy.
