whats wrong with your a800 pro? that should do exactly what the others do, apart from the flashing lights and uss enterpise looks.

I would go touchscreen if the bling is important

Nothing is wrong with it and I just would like the versatillity of having more than one controller...the A Pro would not be ideal with mixing as it is a little limited when it comes to faders and knobs. I know it can be set up to do more but I do like the "feel" of a console with real working knobs and faders.

I agree with Swiller. I have the a800 PRO too. Use it everyday really great master keyboard and ACT controller.
If you looking and want a DAW controller you need to spend a lot of cash forget all cheap models. If you don't have the money just forget it or go touch screen instead. The cheapest models are:

AVID Artist series. -You need both the control and the mix

SSL Nucleus

Hi Frosty,
Let us know what you end up with...I'm kind of poking at a new controller as well. My beloved Alphatrack is making some strange noises these days and may be getting a bit long in the tooth. I'm thinking about a touch screen, but I'm worried about control precision, particularly on faders. In any case, I'll be interested to hear what you end up with.

Incidentally, I did look at the SSL Nucleus but it includes audio I/O and I'm pretty modular around here these days and don't much want to change.

Oh, and BTW, while I'm certain that Freddy has a great facility, the photo he posted that includes the Duality isn't it. That photo is of Vanquish out of Florida, and you could probably visit there easier than Sweden.
