X2 download file size ? and install Q ?

Hi Folks,

Hopefully Quickish Background:

(Been with Sonar since 3, dropped off radar during and since 8.....................

I upgraded sonar to X1 and was eligible for free upgrade Expanded /Production suite. I didn't download or install the expansion. For some reason I received an e-mail with a time limited download...I missed it, contacted Customer Services via link on website but nothing back.

Note: They are in my store account, but there is no download link for them, just the serials. Also no download link for Zeta 2  which was also part of the deal (Serial is there).

Now: X2:

Time has ticked on and I upgraded to X2 using the discount voucher.  I upgraded from producer and expanded version, but don't have that expansion actually installed.

Question 1 ? Do I still need to get the X1 version with expanded production suite upgrade installed before X2, or can I just go ahead with X2 installation in isolation.

Question 2 ?

Downloading the X2 files has been interesting, sometimes worked, othertimes failed etc.... please could someone tell me the exact file sizes of the downloads....would save install failures or a corrupt version being on my PC.

Sorry for being so wordy. Many thanks for reading through and any support you can offer.

Cheers

Spence

(ps my signature is probably really old...PC changed since then to an I7 64bit Win7)

    1) There is no need to install any version of X1 prior to installing X2.
    2) Full file list with checksums http://www.cakewalk.com/s...tion_instructions.aspx File sizes will not tell you if the doownload is good or not. A more reliable method would be to compare the md5 values of the downloads with the values in the table provided in the link.

    thanks Frostysnake,

I tried to, for the same reasons, but Bermuda has vanished from the Cakewalk Store Countries list ...... Used to be there, went, came back (after some prompting) and changed to Burmuda (huh?) now gone again.... ps we are still here, even though the store says we are not (at least I think we are !)

I know there were issues where if you didn't run the installer as
"Administrator" under Win 7 it would give you some problems...

Don't know if that's your problem or not...but it's always best to run
an Installer by right clicking and selecting "Run as Administrator".
EVEN if you ARE the Administrator...you still should do this...

If the Sonar X2 Icon shows up (Black Square with X2) in front of the file name then the download
completed.  That's a pretty good indicator.  Still helps to use Checksums
    just in case..

Not my issue, but a great reminder.......There is a good chance without reading this,  I would have forgotten to do this...much appreciated.
