is there a way to automatically make uniform slices to a piece of audio?

say have it sliced every 1/8th instead of zooming in a manually click each 1/8th and slicing by hand?

IDK but if you set the Snap setting to every 1/8th you wouldn't have to zoom in every time.

1. Change the Edit Filter for the track containing the audio to Audio Transients.
2. Change the Snap resolution to your split value (in this case 1/8).
3. Right-click the background of the audio and choose Pool > Add MBT to Pool.
4. Change the Edit Filter back to Clips.
5. Right-click the background of the audio and choose Split Clip(s) at AudioSnap Pool.

That should do it.

Hey Colin...

Glad you like it. Actually, that's the only way to do it in SONAR, as far as I know.

Thanks a ton Scott, worked perfectly. I was almost expecting there to be no solution, as it seems like such on simple task, but no obvious or simple way of doing it.

Hey Perfectprint,

No problem. Glad I could help! Yeah, definitely not an obvious function, but it's in there.
