Will the TTS-1 work with 96K??

I'm am trying to delve into MIDI with a little success, but have become quite confused. For a couple of hours I was setting it up JUST like the manual, X1 Power and videos described, but was getting these terrible sounds of static...and then just by chance I read a post under a YouTube video that described my issue as mismatched sample rate noise..I have NO idea what this means, but changed the sample rate back to 44K and it works. I realize this is probably old and rehashed for some of you but please bare with me here! (...and if Beepster is out there, maybe you had the same thing happen??) Thanks! David

    Hey David,

Yes, it works but only in Light Load Mode. In the TTS-1 interface, click the System button. In System Settings, click the Option button. In the dialog box, click the Options tab. Then put a checkmark next to Light Load Mode. That should fix the problem.

    Thanks for reading my book!

    Hey David,

No problem. I'm happy to hear you're getting a lot of use out of the book.

Light Load Mode reduces CPU usage of the TTS-1 and it's the only way it will work with 96kHz. I'm not sure whether or not it affects sound quality. I haven't tested that.

It's not a sticky setting and doesn't save when you close your project.

I usually freeze, or close my project with the TTS-1 window open so I don't forget.

Running TTS at 96k... isn't that like taking Richard Petty's #43 NASCAR race car to a go-kart track?
