can't play soft synth

Hello

I've got a newbie question (I guess :) ) : I follow the video tutorials from the All-Access Pass and, so I configured all midi and audio just fine, but
coming to play the Soft Synth (Drop Zone 1) with my USB keyboard : I just can't hear a thing ??
I actually can hear all midi tracks with the right selected instruments but when it comes to the synth track, no sound is coming out.

What do I miss ?

Thank you

Did you load a sound into DropZone? At the top of the interface, click the black strip located just above the Element buttons to open the Program Browser. Double-click one of the entries there to load a program into DropZone.

If that's not the problem, try using the Insert menu to add the synth to your project. The easiest method is to choose Insert > Soft Synth > DropZone. In the dialog box, choose the Simple Instrument Track and Synth Property Page options. Click OK.

SONAR should add a new track to the project and open the DropZone window. You should now be able to play the synth.

Hi Scott

Thanks for your answer. Actually what I did miss was just a software restart or computer reboot, I don't know which one worked but I did both this morning and it's working fine. Maybe the audio/midi configuration didn't take as it was all in the same session (configuration and Soft Synth tries) ?

Anyway thanks again and long live Sonar !

Ok now I know why it didn't work, I just put the solution for those who make the same mistake : I did selected the "share driver option" in the "audio->playback and recording" configuration menu. But actually some other software are very selfish and once they get the hand they don't want to give it back : that's why the reboot solution worked.
