Can I change The Smart Tool attributes?

OK,  I'm on Sonar X2a Producer,  I have a track ball. When I'm in PRV i hit F5 the smart tool show up.  If a want to lasso notes you left-click.  Right-click allows you to draw.  Left Clicking becomes painful on a track ball and I'm trying to Lasso notes a lot.

Is there a way to make the "right-Click" lasso?  Was it not this way in X1?

Thank you in advance and forgive my inability to figure simple things out!

Wouldn't changing the track ball from right hand operation to left

Good thought,  but if I change the track ball then it changes for everything else. I just want to change the PRV view in Sonar..not all right-click/left-click things.

Actually, you have it backwards... I'm assuming the trackball works the same way as a mouse, and if so then in X2, lassoing notes is done by right-clicking and dragging.

In any case, no, unfortunately, none of the tools can be customized. Hopefully, we'll get that functionality back in a future version.

In the meantime, the software for your trackball might allow you to change the behavior of the buttons, etc.

Yes Scott you correct,  I have my left/right backwards...

    Thanks for the info.

The changing the trackball thing, as you and Spacey suggest, actually might be the solution 'cause i have 4 buttons to click and I'm really only using 2.

Now.. off to find the trackball software!!
