Why don't you love me (punkpop - new vocalist and guitarist)

Exploring new sounds with my new Fender quite differnt from the usual acoustic ones obviously. Tried something more "weird" called Why Don't You Love Me.

:-) Good job on this, I really like the bass and kick in the mix. The vocal style is not tight? But if it was, it wouldn't be as good. The way you sang this is perfect to the song/style.

Thanks The Band (Rick Danko, Garth et al? lol)! Tried to get the vocal tight but I guess there were too many syllables. Greetings Mikael

No, you did a great job! It's the style, the vocal is "perfect" really. Nothing else would have fit any better. I meant no disrespect.

Nice one, I like this. I enjoyed the tongue-in-cheek lyrics, and agree with Robby, the delivery is just right. Guitar sounds great btw..

I like this because it's somewhat outside of the "box" in regard to your usual pop music.  The mix and arrangement are clever and convey the message of the song well.  The performances are right on.  Bravo.

    All the best,

Thanks James for those kind words. Many syllables to keep in place, if any. Lol

Had a punk rock feel to me, and it felt good.  Vocal fit well with the witty lyrics.  Nice job.

Lynn: I do appreciate your comments and it's far from my usual repertoire. I shortened the tune a bit in order to keep up the energy (if any).

I listened to a few of your songs and really liked them a lot.  They do have a great feel to them.

I like that I could either sit and listen to them intently or put them on quietly for perfect, comfortable background music in my home.  Amazing.

Ok is it only me , I've been listening to a few songs and after listening to The Batts Brew song everything else sound dead and lifeless.
So out of curiosity I downloaded it and opened in Wave Lab.
Your overall level is 8Db below where I like to see it around -12Db RMS average,  yours was -22Db. After I normalized it it was good.

Might have been the vocals but something is terribly wrong with the timing, Right from the first snare double hit it sounds off. Then the Kick seems off or might be way to busy??

Song is fun I like what your doing.. just needs some tightening up.

Duke: Thank you kindly for those nice comments! They are surely warming this cold winter's day. My SoundClick is terribly out of date. I stopped uploading years ago since the stream had such a bad resolution (128 kb/s?). It sounds a lot better nowadays and I should think of renewing my library there.
Cactus:  You were terribly right about timing and RMS. I have now tightened it and really boasted the loudness in a new version. I made some  cleansing of he kick drum track as well. Thanks for enlightening me!

Daryl: Jethro Tull was one of my early heroes. Thanks for making the connection. I do appreciate.
Eko: Nirvana, sounds good to me. I hesitated  bit to mix pop and dissonant punk parts. It seems to work ok.  Thanks a lot eko!

Creative, good energy and interesting. Love the way the timing of the rhythm track seems to strain just behind the vocal (on the “Why don’t you love me” line). Very original – doesn’t remind me of any specific band – just good solid rock. A bit of humor in there, a bit of angst and all very clever (not a joke novelty type thing – but a solid rocker). Great job.
