Fade out vst-effects with Sonar X1
Hello! I want to fade out a Vinylizer-effect in Sonar X1. There is the problem that I fade out the audio-sound (like it is described in the manual), but you can still hear the "noise" of the vinyl effect in the track.

How are you doing the fade? If you do it via volume automation it will fade the sound of the vinylizer as well.

I'm not saying that I would do it this way in this particular situation, but another way of fading a VST effect would be to stick the effect on a bus then either automate the send level to is or the level of the bus itself.
Also, depending on the effect, you can automate the input or output level from within the effect.
Many ways to skin this cat...

I am assuming the OP means this:- http://www.plektronfx.com/vinylizer.php There does not appear to be a level control within the plugin, so placing it on a bus and automating either the send level or bus level may be the best way to deal with this. It is a free plug I believe, so if I get time later I may have a play.

There are lots of Sonar automation videos on Youtube, e.g. here . Fading the volume of the track with the effect inserted will fade the noise as sharke says. However, if you're after an authentic vinyl effect, I guess you shouldn't apply the fade to the vinyl noise. If you were listening to a record, the fade would only affect the music, then the needle would lift off (making a different noise), stopping the noise rather than fading it.

Clone the track, but without Vinyl, then crossfade the volume envelopes on the two tracks so that the un-processed track takes over. This should give the effect of audio becoming "clearer".
