Nearly There !!

Hi,
I bought Maschine just after Christmas, and have been having a little trouble getting it to work properly
in Sonar. Now I've got it loaded and want to record it, I set up a MIDI track and can see in the meter when
I hit the pad, I can also record in Maschine and drag and drop it into Sonar either in MIDI or audio, but I want to
record maschine sraight into Sonar in real time, on a track lane, for example, something I've already recorded, I want to put
maybe another Keyboard part or another drum part, playing Maschine in real time, can this be done ?

Thanks
John

AFAIK you can not route MIDI directly into a Sonar record track with Maschine as MIDI source. The method that you have discovered of recording in Maschine and then drag and drop that into a Sonar MIDI track is the way to go. It seems like a bit of a pain but it does work.

Enable MIDI Output on the Maschine instance (Right click on Machine in the Sonar Browser windowand "Enable MIDI Output")

Set the particular sound in machine to "MIDI Out"

This will give you a new MIDI Input called Machine 1 in SONAR, select that as the input to the track that you want to control.

I just verified this in a simple project which I can send your way if you're still having issues.

Don't ask the question if you cannot live with the answer.
