New tune mixed in Sonar X2 (Acid house made with hardware)

Gotta say I'm loving X2, I've been with Sonar since version 2 and I'm finally feeling like the interface is on my side.

I really liked this! I wish I could get into more hardware stuff. It's mostly a case of budget constraints for me, but one day I hope to have a whole collection of awesome hardware samplers/sequencers etc. Anyway really liked the track, the acid/oldskook vibe is awesome.

I love X2, as well, and find it to be an incredible mixing platform.  Your track has the required thump of the bass drum, and the overall mix sounds very good in my studio.  The right combination of hardware and software can be hard to beat.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Not my thing but it sounds really good. I used to go to a place called "The Assylum" (a bar/meat market) and this song would have fit in perfect.

    Well done!

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Cheers lorgan, the synth collection is something you have to work towards, it's taken me 15 years to fill a room with synths. Just keep checking ebay for bargains - there are loads out there.

Thanks Lynn, you're good at giving feedback - a couple of months back you told me to put more stairs to different levels in my tracks and that really stuck with me. I tried to do that with this one.

Cheers Guitarpima, this one was intended for meat market deployment (as opposed to headphone listening while walking places like the other half of my output). Was the club really called the 'Assylum' or was the spelling a Freudian slip?
