Bad day with V-Vocal

Title says it all.

I was working on a project on Saturday which needed a bit of Vocal tightening up (timing, not pitch)

I know of all of the usual fixed for getting V-V to work, but the only workaround was to chop the clip into even smaller clips - some not longer than a few notes. Even then, attempting to load another instance would result in an immediate crash.

I've been working with V-V for many years and always felt I was extremely lucky not to have the sort of problems many other posters have complained about with this tool.

Now I've got them and I'm not sure what to try to get it resolved.

The project was originally started in X1, if that makes any difference and consists of about 45 tracks, mainly audio, all soft synths have been frozen with the exception of BFD2

I use AudioSnap for timing adjustments, rather than V-Vocal. It seems to do less harm to the audio quality.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I am amazed at how effectively Studio One Artist will locate transients and adjust timing with a couple mouse clicks.

    Best $10 I ever spent.

    Thanks Bit & Mike.

I'm going to try again on a project tracked solely inside X2 and see what happens
