The Sunday Report...on Monday

Sorry for bein a day late and a dollar short.  I worked all weekend on a project using the latest X2 version and here were my "opportunities":  Several white screen hangs/crashes...Sonar's refusal to reboot with certain plugins installed in a project (all of which I use on a regular basis with no probs whatsoever)...Sonar's graphics freezing while the song continues to play...Sonar adding many random actions in the history file after just one "actual" action (and here, let me explain...say I simply split or moved a clip and then wished to undo that before taking any other actions...going to the undo menu I would find ten or more other random actions that had nothing to do with what I was doing and had not been performed "before" the actual split or move undo in the history list...really weird).  But the most puzzling glitch of the weekend was that somehow this particular project (and all its backups) is, seemingly, now corrupted and a:  won't see or load any of my UAD plugs or any of my Softube plugs (there may be others...these were just the ones I know it wouldn't load) and b:  Won't let Sonar open when any Softube plugs have been inserted in the project.  Also X2 doesn't seem to like just the "purple reverb" in my Nomad Factory Magma plug suite as it refuses to open if that is in a project as well.

Did, of course, get the project mostly done, but quite a chore.  Still think that these problems added to the other sketchiness that X2 exhibits (at least for me) reinforces my belief that it's still a work in progress.

Love most of the new features tho.  YMMV.

Oh yea...I almost forgot...when I'd right click on a clip, say to "bounce to clips" or something I'd suddenly get the "this computer has too many plugins" dialog.  I'm going to go through and clean out all the plugs I no longer use (especially all the duplicate 32 bit ones).
