Losing vertical time line indicator

Hey,

I'm not sure what you call it exactly, but the vertical line that moves across the project as it plays is disappearing on me.

I see it when I start a project in track view, however when I return to track view after using piano roll view it is gone and I cannot get it to appear again.

What's going on here?

Thanks.

It's a bug. I think the QuickFix is supposed to fix it.

The QuickFix has been available for quite some time (build 308). They released the first full patch last month but it is getting mixed reviews. You can try either/or. Might want to create a restore point though. I have the Quickfix installed. Still lots of bugs but they seem to be minor.

    Cheers.

I've experienced it but it was never as bad as I've seen others report. I had a couple other weird graphical anomalies like weird ghosty blobs in blank spaces on my screen when moving the cursor around. Most of that seems to be gone now after the Quickfix. I think Sonar is just being finicky with specific systems or graphics cards.

The transient markers are a horrendous mess though. Pretty disappointed with that.

Hmm...  I'm running X2a Build 351.  Should I try the Quickfix?

Nope. You're on the latest version. Might be your graphics card or something not playing friendly with Sonar. If Rasure says he's still experiencing it then you may be stuck with it. I think I recall some folks saying a restart of Sonar helps get things working a little better when it happens. Maybe Cakewalk tech can help you see if there are any system issues.

    Sorry I couldn't help. Cheers.

You dont need the quickfix if you've got X2a installed. Some others are still reporting the disappearing now time marker also. So far mine hasnt disappeared since X2a (as he touches the wooden desk!)

    Thanks.

    I'll use a work-around for now.
