So...Rich isn't a flute player, but you asked him to play the flute on this.  And he just picks one up and plays it. And it sounds this good?  AND he sings this well too?  Wow!  :)  Honestly, I was looking for some more sax playing, but this was a nice surprise and quite impressive.

Oh, and everyone else did a great job too.  :)

I've seen Tull live 3 times, I'm a huge fan.  This is really a good cover.  A little more punch on the vocals would put it right there.  I misss the breath on the flute.

Great job, I don't know how I missed this until now.

Hey, Ed, Rich and James,

Excellent work on this great sounding Tull cover!

Fantastic work on the instrumental performances, great playing by Ed and James, absolutely superb vocals by Rich, and I thought the flute sounded really good.  Ed, this mix really sounds spectacular on my system, clean, wide and "vintage" quality.

A couple months ago, I saw a great Jethro Tull documentary on Netflix that brought back a lot of good memories, and this quality cover did the same thing!

Dynamite job, guys!
Bob

I'm surprised I have not given this a bump replies to some of you.

Thanks to everyone for the positive comments, so far.

I especially want to thank James and Rich again for their invaluable contributions.

It's starting to seem that 40% of of good mix begins with some great performances that are well recorded from the get go. These guys delivered the goods, that's for sure.
