Switch off all the amps and FX to check it still works without them, them turn them back on one at a time untill you find which one is crashing the system.

Is your machine powerfull enough? You've not said what you're using. You'd be suprised at the number of people that expect a 10 yo machine running Win XP to be capable of running Win7 based programs as fast as a Cray... ... or maybe you wouldn't.

Kody im running windows 7, i have 4gb of installed ram, AMD Athlon(tm) II P360 Dual-Core Prossesor 2.30 Ghz 64 bit operating system. its a dell inspiron m5030 That should work. What amps and effects are you using? Some plug-ins are memory hogs. Are you using the 32 or 64 bit version of Sonar? The 32-bit version can only access less than 3GB of memory.

Audio interface??? ASIO drivers?? That's not much RAM or horsepower to run a lot of vst's. You'll have to freeze a few.

Depending on your audio device you should be using ASIO mode or WDM mode, not MME mode.

Thought so, Everybody together now---- You need a proper audio interface to use Sonar. On board sound cards are for playing u tubes and games. Start shopping. $400 software does not run on $10 sound cards.
