Free Batch Export Program

I have written a program to export multiple Cakewalk projects as Wave or MP3 files.  As gratitude for the help this forum has given me over the last several years I am willing to give away copies of the program.  Last night I exported 108 projects to MP3.

If you are interested in a copy just PM me.

I have a recorded a youtube video of the program here:

hi that looks cool.... v kind.

is your program like a macro?

would love to see a program that allows user to create macros.
i often have to change the output devices of my music classes at school in order to mark them at home.

I'm trying to PM you as well, but so far I continue to get server errors...

I'll keep trying... Maybe from another machine?

    Many Thanks...

I cannot send a PM to you at the moment because of a server error.
I hope I'm not too late to try your program.

When you send me a PM be sure to include your email address.

The PM that I receive is not from you.  It is from a Cakewalk noreply address.

    Fog,

Thanks for taking the time to watch my video.

I would like to clarify what my program does and contrast it to what lamedrop does.

My program takes a list of Sonar projects and loads them sequentially into Sonar.  It then executes keystrokes to export the Sonar Project to create a Wave File or an MP3 file.  For MP3 files you can add additional information like Track #, Genre, Artist, etc.

Lamedrop is to convert a wave file that you have already exported.

My program saves you time because you do not have to load projects into Sonar and do the export function.  For a 10 song CD I can save you about 40-45 minutes that you would have lost exporting the projects individually.

I have not seen Lamedrop encode the additional information like track number, artist or genre.

    Hi Bluegrasser,

Have just tried to PM you and got a server error.  I would like a copy of your Project Export program please.
It certainly looks cool and it's very generous of you.  Hopefully I can return the compliment at some time in the future (not much of a programmer I'm afraid)

    Please send to LordElpus58@gmail.com

    Many thanks

    Hi All,

Thanks for your interest, and I'm sorry for the technical difficulties in distribution.

The PM server errors appear to be a Cake problem.  I got the error also sending a message to myself periodically.

It seems several ISP's have blocked email with a zip file attached.  I have successfully sent the attached zip file to a Hotmail account, so if you have not received the zip file please try sending me a Hotmail address.

If we still have issues over the weekend I will check on setting up an ftp site on Monday.

    Hi All,

I send the program as a zip file, and gmail will not allow a zip file as an attachment.  A lot of isp's don't allow zip attachments either.

I have had the best success with hotmail and msn.

I'll be looking at an ftp site on Monday, so until then try sending yourself a zip file before sending me your email address.

I hope to get a video of an MP3 export this weekend also.

Hey Bluegrasser, can you export all the tracks in a project at the same time so each track will be its own length??

Lets say you have one track from 00:01 to 03:20 and another track from 03:25 to 06:15, will each track when exported at the same time as all the other tracks keep their original length and not have dead space from when one track ends and one track begins?

    Thanks,
    CJ

    Hi CJ,

You were one of the original people that helped me on this forum back several years ago, and I sure appreciate it.  I've had a very rewarding experience thanks to folks like you.  I hope my program can help you.

From your example, you have one track that starts 5 measures after another track and you want to scrub the silent 5 seconds from the export.  Unfortunately my program cannot, and should not, manipulate your projects.  There is no way I can examine the content of your projects to know what to do.

I simply start X2 and send it keystrokes to do the export.  After writing the program I can see why Cake has not added the functionality, though I believe they could do it fairly easily using something like a set list.
