Its WINTER time [:)]

I grew up here but have never went to the lake to check it out in the winter.  (Lake Michigan)

The water mist from the waves cover everything like white frosting dripping off a cake.

Gonna go over and take pictures this week to share for those that havent seen it.  Mother Nature is quite a sight from what Im seeing from others.

Here is the Light House located in St Joe Michigan taken yesterday

    LOL Mike.
If I lived somewhere where it got that damn cold.......I'd start walking south.

I don't like anything below 70-ish but deal with Jersey winters. That's plenty for me thanks.

Jersey winters actually feel colder than mid west winters to me. I'm guessing because of the humidity. I rarely wore a coat when I lived in Iowa. It could be 10F out and it didn't feel that bad to me. Get a good wind in Jersey with 35F temps and it's almost unbearable.

cold is cold.... once you get below 25F it's cold to me....dry or humid.....

and same thing goes with summer heat....
They say places like Arizona are hot...."but it's a dry heat"... yeah, so is sticking your head in an oven.

I hate extremes on either end but I'd take the heat over the cold any day.

It's been killer here particularly when the wind kicks up; 40.mph winds last Saturday; temperatures below 30.F.

On the other side of the planet; recently Australia got record high temperatures; so hot it can make people feel nauseated and fatigue but with all those beautiful beaches IMO particularly in remote (quiet) places; a person simply takes off those sweat soaked clothes and have fun in the surf; oh yeah it's truly an awesome experience.

Just went and tried this....You are correct sir. It's just damn hot. Also tried with spritzing water on my face. No difference at all.

And Bub for the record, Jersey is for the most part just plain unbearable period.

The perfect temperature for me is around 65F. The kind of temperature where you can walk around quite comfortably in a light sweater or a light jacket over a t-shirt. I hate hot humid summers, I don't know how anyone can find them pleasant. At least when it's cold you can put more layers on....when it's 100F and humid, you could be naked and you'd still be dripping with sweat.

I kind of like battling against the cold. You burn a ton of calories and it stoutens the constitution. Makes me feel alive. In contrast, waiting on a NYC subway platform in 110F humidity makes me feel dead.
