Best affordable xlr (mic cable)

Doing some research on mic cables, as I will be buying some in bulk. I don't thing $100 is really getting me anything more than a $30 dollar cable, but want to ask the forum what they think. I don't need quad cables. I don't have an expensive studio. Sonar 7PE, Motu 8Pre, Shure SM57, Shure Drum Mic Kit, AKG Perception 220, Sennhieser e906. So you see I don't have a Hollywood studio. I think what I have is great, but come on...$100 for a single mic cable. So please give my your thoughts on quality affordable mic cables and mic boom stands too. I bought some crap at Guitar Center for $30 and I am not sure I like them. I guess they are o.k. for studio, as there is no real abuse, but I don't mind spending a little more for a better one. I say this because I have two old Senn ( I think it is a Sennhieser, but made by someone else) stands and they are really nice and heavy duty. I took a look at Ultimate Support and On-Stage and without putting my hands on them I can't tell if they are any better than the cheap ones from GC. By the way, I am looking to buy about 20 cables and even thought of just buying bulk Mogami and Neutrik parts and building them myself. I did this for my guitar rig with great success. But I happen to see Whirlwind had mic cables and so did Markertek that looked as if they had good quality and very affordable. Thanks everyone.

I just checked at Redco and the cables I've been using for the past 30 years are $47 for 50 feet of Canare L-4E6S quad core and Switchcraft A3M (the best you can get) XLR connectors.

That is a great value for a world class mic cable.

Those Sennheiser stands were probably made by Konig and Meyer.

     best regards,
    mike

Thanks for the heads up on cables. Yes, the stands probably were made by them, thanks.

Mike, I just checked out Redco. Seems like a good solution. I wonder how many more of these A/V houses are out there? 25ft Mogami 2549 cable, NC3MXX-B & NC3FXX-B XLR Neutrik BLK/GLD connectors all assembled for $42.80, not including shipping so if I bought 20 of them, shipping may cost as much as $25. Not too bad, really. Thanks Mike.

MonoPrice.com has been my go to for most cables that I don't make myself.
