Sorry, I don't know of a 1.57 driver and I know nothing about the 22VSL.
Again, I'm claiming 2 separate problems.
1.) 1818VSL pops and crackles on SOME systems. The 1.2 and 1.21 drivers seems to have fixed this popping problem for most users, but not all. This is documented on the Presonus forum and admitted to by the company. One of the responses made to me on my thread over there was to "hang in there" because yet another new driver is coming out to fix this.
2.)These newer drivers have killed Sonar 8.5.3 compatibility (and probably other older versions of Sonar).
So, I will never find out if the newer drivers would have fixed the popping on my machine because the newer drivers are no longer compatible with my version of Sonar.
So far I haven't been able to verify with anyone on either forum that they can make 1818VSL work with 1.2 or 1.21 drivers with Sonar 8.5.3, but several people do share my experience that it won't work. C'mon, this should be very easy to prove one way or another. If someone will just prove me wrong with their firsthand experience with this EXACT same situation (1.57, 22VSL??), I will be very happy because I can stop beating my head against the wall like I am doing right now.
I sent you an email privately to your personal email account with instructions for the FTP account I set up for you regarding what we talked about over the phone.  I did that several hours ago.

I see you active here within the last hour, but have not seen an email from you regarding your having done anything with that, so I thought I would let you know via this post about that email.  In it, there are detailed instructions for the FTP user I set up for on my web site, and other related information and instructions.

Please check for that message and respond via email as to whether or not my instructions made sense, and tell me if you are able to access that FTP account and do the download etc....

Thanks,

Bob Bone

I reread my post. You are correct and I apologise.
I've gotten some very good help here and am very thankful for it. I'm upset but certainly not at anyone here. The people that help out here are more knowledgeable than at most forums and it's been that way for a long time.
In my my mind, I've exhausted every possibility (reread all my crap above) and the result is obvious.
I guess I'm frustrated that no one here seems to agree with me but
Thank You Everyone.

Thank You Everyone.
'lil Chit :)

Absolutely understand the frustration. I wish I did have 8.3.4 on my daw to try it out as it just seems unfathomable that it wouldn't work in sonar 8. Wrking very well for me in X2. Hopefully someone who still has it can help you out.
