Groove3 videos

I have discovered I know next to nothing about anything to do with Sonar X2.....and yet I can use it. I watch the Groove3 videos and think "that's clever - I must remember that" but I know I never will.
X2 is a deep and clever program that I'm sure most of us will never fully utilise.
Good job you can skim over the top and still get an end product .

Grum.

+1.  But they are great videos.  I like the fact that many of the subjects are just 5, 7 or 10 minutes long.  Great for watching and then switching to X2 and trying it out.

I'm hoping something will rub off!
I think the information that has surprised me the most is the amount of things using shift, control and alt in conjunction with the mouse/keys can do.

I've been watching the videos daily and have learned an enormous amount. Problem is, I had just started Karl's X2 video when we got the groove3 pass. Now I know an awful lot more about Logic Pro and Protools than I do about X2 since they were used for the general topic videos. None of them were on X2. I'm anxious to get back to X2, even if just for its looks. I really like X2's interface.

I take notes to get around my CRS. It doesn't work much for GAS. Now if I could just find my notes. The free month was super cool  (Thanks Cake!!!).  At one time Groove 3 offered a 1 week pass  for $5.  It makes choosing which videos to buy a  more  informed decision.

    Point taken.

Going off topic you (Fog) offered me some pm'ed advice regarding my evil ISP a while back. Finally the stars aligned and a window of opportunity arose to leave them. I left through that window.
My new ISP has speeds I could previously only dream about (yet is on the same phone line), is cheaper and unlimited.
This information will not help anyone on this forum other than I may not drip and moan about how long the next update takes to download .

I have been living over at Groove 3. I have seen so many videos I lost count. The Sonar X1 videos have some great information as well. A lot of it can be applied to X2. The X1 mix series was good.

Series like EQ explained, compression explained, Jazz Theory, Reverb explained, Ozone 5, Alloy 2, and others have been great to watch and digest.

most all examples for some of this were given using pro tools, logic or some other DAW. As I watch these videos it reconfirms my preference in my DAW of choice. (Sonar)

I am really trying to watch everything I want to see before the 30 day time period expires. This is why I have not hung out here in the forum that much. This is by far the best freebee we received from Cakewalk!
